Tres Dias International Secretariat – Friday/Saturday March 1-2, 2024
Brief Overview
The Secretariat was hosted by Praise Christian Fellowship in Barkhamsted, CT. David Dailey and Paula Dailey both attended. Friday night was essentials training and Saturday morning began with prayer and worship led by the band “Muddy Boots”. Several countries were represented including Jamaica and Korea.
Discussions other than committee reports included wording changes to the essentials that are to be voted on at the July assembly in Montana. The two changes would be wording to include statements prohibiting transgenderism and also to address other communities such as “Walk to Emmaus” which have previously been recognized as equivalent organizations. Prior to a specific date those having attended such weekends would be automatically qualified to serve on a Tres Dias weekend but would now be required to go through a Tres Dias weekend before allowing to serve. Those participants already serving in a community would be exempt from the requirement.
All committees gave reports and the Administration Committee has asked that once again each community donate small items to be auctioned off at the assembly in July to provide scholarship money for communities wishing to send delegates but are unable to afford to. The meeting was then closed in prayer.
